The Bliss of Solitude (from William Wordsworth's The Daffodils) is a selection of Canadian art songs taken from the three anthologies published by Alberta Keys Music.G.E.M.S. (Group of the Electronic Music Studio), initiated by John Oliver, Claude Schryer and Alcides Lanza in May, 1983, is a composer / performer chamber ensemble specializing in electroacoustic works, especially those created using the resources of the McGill University Electronic Music Studios.Internationally-acclaimed Vancouver clarinetist performs the music of Pierre Boulez, Paul Dolden, Giorgio Magnanensi, and John Oliver. Houle has taken the idea of Boulez' "shadow dialogue" as inspiration for a program of works where the sound of his clarinet becomes the core of rich sound textures.Icicle Blue Avalanche rolls over the listener with extraordinary, sculpted sounds.
