Kevin oversees a wide spectrum of critical functions at the CMC, including human resources management, financial management, grant reporting, information technology, project management, and facility management. Kevin provides the leadership and direction essential for the effective operation, staffing, financial management, and future growth of the CMC.

With over a decade of accounting and financial management experience, Kevin’s expertise spans public accounting firms and industry, including arts organizations. Prior to joining CMC, he played a pivotal role in Casalova, a Toronto-based real estate tech company, where he established and managed the finance function for five diverse, related companies. Kevin’s diverse background also includes contributions to Starvox Entertainment and various public accounting firms.

His seasoned financial acumen and operational finesse drive our organization’s financial stability and growth trajectory.

Having joined the CMC in 2022, Peter oversees all activities of the CMC libraries, helping composers make their music available and helping performers, educators, and other library patrons discover that music.

Peter brings over a decade of experience performing research, cataloguing, digitization, teaching, and reference services in a variety of library roles – at York University, the CBC, the CNIB, and more – in between stints as a bilingual proofreader and copy editor. He holds a Master of Information from the University of Toronto and a BA (Hons) from the University of King’s College.

Born and raised in New Brunswick, Peter has crossed Canada in the back of a tour van and the stern of a canoe, and now calls Toronto home – where he lives just around the corner from the CMC.

Ana-Maria has been working with the CMC since 2003. A graduate of the University of Music in Bucharest, with a bachelor’s degree in music pedagogy, she is also an alumni of Humber College with a degree in arts administration. She worked at the Romanian Broadcasting Corporation, as both an editor and events coordinator until 2003.

As the Music Services Manager, Ana-Maria works closely with composers, performers and well-established organizations (orchestras and libraries) from across Canada and around the world. She is responsible for managing the music services department and ensuring that requests for scores, orchestral parts and CDs are fulfilled in a professional and timely manner.

Keith has been with the Canadian Music Centre since September 2022. His role comprises various duties including score binding, IT coordination, and assistance with event management.

Originally from Prince Edward Island, Keith has studied classical composition at Acadia and McGill universities and has been performing as a multi-instrumentalist since 2012.

He currently plays guitar for Toronto acts including The Feel Good Band, Kai Samuels, and The Breakables. He lives with his partner Claire and their cat Shinko.

Andrea is there to greet you as you walk in the door of the Canadian Music Centre. Juggling a multiple of tasks, she is the primary point of contact at the CMC. If she can’t assist you, she can always point you to someone who can. She manages library circulation, is the content manager of the website, assists composers with media and bio submissions, creates all product pages for the CMC shop, assists with user accounts and can usually answer any questions that come her way.

Originally from the West Coast, Andrea has BFA’s from the University of Victoria and Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Her music background includes running an electronic music netlabel, writing for Exclaim, Resident Advisor and MusicWorks magazine, was featured in Nylon magazine and was one of the first Juno judges for the best electronic album of the year. In her spare time, she loves to travel with her partner and spends most of her evenings cuddling up with her cat, Pookie.

Karen Orie is a vibrant recent grad from Toronto Metropolitan University, where she aced her BA in Professional Communication with a minor in Communication Design. She’s tackled marketing challenges as a Marketing Strategy Specialist at Inspire Beach Resort and a Social Media Marketing Specialist at Drastic Drinks, proving her knack for boosting engagement and making brands shine. Karen thrives in creative, fast-paced environments and loves bringing fresh ideas to the table. When she’s not crafting compelling campaigns, you’ll find Karen playing rugby, cooking up new recipes, or planning her next adventure. Ready to bring her zest and innovative spirit to the Canadian Music Centre, Karen is excited to hit the ground running!
